Terri-

I've been meaning to tell you that you've helped me so much with Indie this last time you came out.
I rode him and he retained everything that we had done in our lesson prior, even with the break that he had while he got over the bite/swelling. You've gotten me through many "stops" that I've had, to keep me moving forward with him.

I appreciate you coming out this far to give me lessons. I'm kinda stuck without a truck, but my lessons are important to me.
Until our next meeting, I'll continue to work on the things you've helped me with in our last session.

Thanks again for all of your help. My horse just keeps getting better all the time!

Dear Terri-

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with Coco yesterday. You are really doing an amazing job with him, you make it look so easy! I am very much looking forward to riding him myself! I'll keep doing my homework.......See you Sunday @ noon! Thanks again!

Dear Terri-

The Versatility Course at Equine Affair 2009 was UNBELIEVABLY DIFFICULT and I enjoyed watching the first several riders of phase 2. I left after a bit and didn't stay to watch it all because I didn't see what I expected to see....horses and riders meeting new challenges for the first time together and working through it TOGETHER. These HORSES were very good at their jobs...Some of those horses were not horses....they were robots. Dead in the head and at the command of the master. I realized this sport is much like some others. Where it takes a robot and a commander to win.

So,... I left....perfectly content with my horse that thinks for himself because I found new inspiration from you. You are teaching me to be a partner with my horse rather than how to be perfect in the show pen. You are teaching me the real prize is my relationship with my horse and not the belt buckle! It doesn't mean I won't compete again and it doesn't mean I wouldn't be beaming with pride if I ever succeed in my competitons.....it means I respect my horse on a different level now. I am now content to be in the middle of the pack and know I won't lie to my horse anymore.

I wish I seen your go on Friday night Terri....because I bet you didn't lie to Journey. THAT would have been something to see! Sure, we all get swept up in the wave of competition. Terri, you have helped me to be patient. Your methods may take Harley and I longer to realize our dreams....but..... when our dream comes true, it will be because we were partners and had mutual respect for each other. In my eyes, the winner isn't the one sporting the prize at the equine affaire.....it's the one that has inspired others to become true horsemen and women rather than commanders and masters! SOOO....YOU GO GIRL!! WHOOO HOOOO!! YOU DID GOOD! Thank you for all your help with me and my horse. Looking forward to more sessions with you in the future.

Dear Terri-

Dave and I had a great time at the open house at Cedar Rock Farm.
I got a lot of help from Terri and plan to have her come and help me some
more at home with some other things that need some improvement. Well
worth the effort to bring a horse and I loved watching everyone else
too. Terri did such a great job with everyone......kind and supportive
but straight forward and able to get the point across. Everyone had a
great time and everyone I talked to said they learned a lot. Well
done Terri...wow...All your hard work and dedication to your horsemanship has paid off...

Thanks again,

Phylis

Dear Terri-

I just wanted to thank you again for the great lesson. I really had a good time. In case you were interested here are a couple of things I think made it so great.

You acknowledged some of the stuff I could do, you gave me help on stuff I could not do well and did not act like it was the end of the world. You gave me some stuff I could continue to work on at home (and feel like I was doing it right) because in the short time you made sure I got the basics of each thing, and mostly you made it fun. I personally know that you can't learn anything if a lesson is boring or frustrating.

Anyway, thanks again. I will get in touch with you to see about coming up there for another lesson in the very near future.

Take care, talk to you soon.

Hi Terri-

I really enjoyed watching you yesterday. My friend raved about her lesson. I thought you did great things with Jones, the gaited horse. You made it look so easy!!!! It was a great lesson for all of us who make excuses for things we don't do but know about. As for the paint mare, I really liked the way you approached and handled her and she looked like she really appreciated it too. It was the best "clinic" I've audited in a long time!!!!

See you around!

Hi, my name is Theresa Jackson, my daughter and I are students of Terri Jordan, and we bought a paint/arab colt she started and trained. It has been an enlighting journey, and we are just at the tip of the iceberg. We have learned so much, I wish I had know before, I'm sure that's been said sooo many times. We have a quarter horse mare, we've had for 4 yrs., she's coming on 11, and what we've learned with Terri, and what our" colt has taught us", we've been using with our mare, with marked improvement!! People are surprised when they find out our colt is 3 1/2yrs. old, I tell them he is foundation trained by Terri Jordan. we have been continuing his training, and getting "tune-ups" in between. I trust him with my 12 1/2 yr.old daughter,as well as my soon to be 11yr. old autistic son! Horses sense when someone has special needs. It's interesting to watch and be apart of.

Dear Terri-

I hope all is well! We survived our first ever show! What a disaster! LOL We went to the Breast Cancer Benefit Show yesterday. The place was beautiful, but the parking was terrible, we were parked in a cow field... complete with the cows! They all kept coming up to the trailers. It was so muddy, almost all of the trailers needed to be pulled out. It was crazy. Luckily Chrissy and I were able to get stalls for her horse and Bear.

I showed in the WT Jr/Sr division, there were 7 horses in my classes. We got a 2nd in halter, 4th in equitation, 2nd in pleasure and 3rd in command and RESERVE CHAMPION!!!!!

I got so many compliments on him but even more about his behavior, how quiet he was and how friendly he was. Such a ham!

All of this would not have happened if it wasn't for your help! There were a couple times when he started acting up a little (I think out of complete boredom) and we would just would go work though it..... Thinking back a few months.... I would have just gotten off or made someone else get on him.

Thank You Terri-

I wish everyone could spend even just a short time with you as their instructor. They would realize quickly that even the most educated horse and rider could become better. Your patience and understanding with both Freedom and me have made for the most enjoyable sessions. The ideas you have for our lessons are both interesting and challenging and I am always waiting to see what we can accomplish next. Your guidance and support have made a good horse, a great partner!

Hi Terri-

Of course I went home and thought about the lesson all day and all night!
The way you communicate and describe things is very positive/ upbeat and extremely clear. You are an amazing instructor.

I appreciate the lesson so much, and I appreciate that you came all the way to my place to help. Thanks so much again for this lesson! It really was the change that I needed with him and I was getting stuck until now. I think it would be great to continue these. You've probably got a pretty busy schedule, so let me know when it will work for you to come out again.

Hi, Terri, I really enjoyed meeting you today and watching you work with Galsi. Watching your session with him was one of the most informative "clinics" I've ever attended. What really impressed me was that you listened to him as an individual and STOPPED (!) when he needed you to stop...this at the point where I've seen other people keep pushing, pushing, pushing him; then he just shut down, zoned out. Too many people mistake his very deep-seated fears as stubbornness...which just ingrains his fears more deeply. Thank you for letting me join Diana to watch you work. I truly appreciated the experience.

Dear Terri-

I can not thank you enough for your insight and knowledge.

After just one session with you, my horse and I have a better
understanding of each other. I am on my way to becoming a
calm and confident leader. My partnership with my horse has been enriched.
Thank so much, can't wait for our next session.

Take Care and See You soon,

Hi Terri,

Just wanted to congratulate you on your new website. I Love It!!!! Your pictures are great and the articles are wonderful. I enjoyed reading all of it. I wanted to wish you all the best with your endeavors. I enjoyed meeting with you and having you evaluate Ruby and all the information you gave me. I wish more people were open minded enough to get this training, unfortunately they think the horse is a tool for them to enjoy and they know all they need to know.

I hope I can get together with you before I move, I would love to come to a seminar or even get a lesson, I am so rusty and out of sync. Take care and let me know if any events are coming up that I can attend. Hope I see you soon!!! Take care
